Duties and Service
Deacons
According to Scripture a Deacon has many duties and roles for service within the church (Matt. 20:16-28). I have outlined below some duties of a Deacon: Caring for the people, other Christians and especially for other members of the congregation, for three reasons, first, for the physical well being of those concerned, second, for their spiritual well-being, and third: as a witness to those outside (Jn.13:13). To head off disunity in the church (Acts 6:1-4). To build up one another and encourage one another (Rom. 1:11-12) for the common good, edifying and uniting the church in the ministry of Deacons (1 Cor. 14:26). To support the ministry of the Word (Acts 6:3). Deacons will serve the church as a whole by helping with responsibilities that the main teachers cannot perform. They should fundamentally encourage and support the ministry of the Elders. Assist the Elders in administering the Lord’s Supper (Jn. 12:2; Lk. 10:40, 17:8; Acts 6:1-2).
Trustees
Act as legal agents or representatives as directed by the church, signing all legal documents involving the purchase, sale, mortgaging and rental church property, only upon direction by the church.Maintain inventory of all legal documents, in conjunction with clerk.Counsel with church staff, key leaders, committees or organizations concerning legal matters.Hold legal title to all church property (as required by state law) and act only as directed by the church in regular or special business meetings.Make recommendations to the church concerning legal documents, property and other legal issues.

ANOTHER  CHANCE  MINISTRIES MISSIONARY BAPTIST CHURCH
And we are still growing. Thank you JESUS!
OUR YOUTH USHERS DUTIES
Thank you for volunteering to serve the church in this important ministry. All family members are encouraged to participate in ushering, with parents using discretion with small children.
The following list should clarify the responsibilities and task of this position. Arrive one-half hour before the service. Put on usher name tag, please. Stand near the sanctuary doors and pass out bulletins, which are located in the sacristy. For overflow seating, have extra chairs in reserve outside the sanctuary prior to the beginning of the service. The Welcome Pads are distributed during announcements. The first service ushers will leave the pages in the booklets. Pass the offering plates. Begin with the back rows on the side and work to the front. Two ushers bring the offering plates forward to the Chancel during the singing of the offertory. They can return to the back of the sanctuary after the offering has been received by the Pastor. During the last hymn, open the Sanctuary doors.  After the first service, gather the Welcome pads and place them on the table in the back of the Sanctuary for the second service. Try to spread the blue and green books alternately between chairs. Prior to the last service, rope off the northeast section of chairs to encourage attendees to gather in the three sections only.
